Professional Development Program

All States Australian Tourism Accreditation Program. The national accreditation program that caters to accommodation providers, tour operators, attractions, visitor information centres, wineries, restaurants, transport operators, retail outlets, booking services and tourism associations. ATAP establishes industry standards for operatorating a tourism business and provides the framework for the continuous improvement of the business. South Australia

Starting Up and Running a Bed & Breakfast. An 8 hour course in two parts (A & B) held on consecutive Sundays at the Workers Education Association (WEA), Adelaide. Various dates throughout the year as listed in the WEA course guide. Discover some of the benefits and pitfalls of this fast growing industry from an experienced operator and member of the South Australian Division of Hosted Accommodation Australia. Topics include understanding the industry, legal requirements, business structures and planning, marketing and advertising your property Fee includes HAA's handbook "A Guide to Establishing and Managing an Accommodation Business".


Running a Bed & Breakfast is a 6 hour course at the Centre for Adult Education in Melbourne. In this course you will cover an introduction into the tourism industry; mandatory licensing and other compliance issues; setting up and maintaining your accommodation; hosting your guests; tariff setting and cancellations policies; discovering your target markets and maximising your marketing opportunities. Registration includes HAA's handbook "A Guide to Establishing and Managing and Accommodation Business".
